What’s New

Mobile-Optimized Scanning Interface

The new /app/scan page provides a mobile-friendly scanning experience with two modes:

• Free Scan: General lookups and quick item moves
• Place Items: Scan a location, then scan items to place there

User Cart Concept

Every user now has a virtual “cart” - items checked out to you for work. This makes it easy to:

• Track what you’re currently working on
• Move items between locations
• Hand off work to colleagues

Offline Support

Working in areas with spotty connectivity? No problem. The scan queue persists to localStorage and automatically syncs when you’re back online.

Technical Details

• New scan_event and task_item database tables for detailed tracking
• Enhanced location types: bin, shelf, workstation, user_possession, and more
• RESTful APIs for scan resolution and actions
